The sharp ceramic blade is coated with Titanium Nitride which prevents the cutting edge from wearing out or going blunt. Moreover, titanium is an anti-allergic material. Ceramics and titanium give an optimum combination of features: sharpness of ceramic and durability of titanium.

Santoku are general-purpose kitchen knives originating in Japan.
